Self-help: Midas Touch
May 20th, 2012
“Midas Touch” is a non-fiction book written by Robert Kiyosaki (author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”) and Donald Trump (a billionaire). The book pointed out that we will remain poor as long as we work for others, instead of working for our own business.
The book was about entrepreneurship discussing on five important points that represent the five fingers of the hand in order to have a “Midas Touch.” They were STRENGTH OF CHARACTER, FOCUS, BRANDING, PARTNERSHIP, and LITTLE THINGS THAT COUNT.
The thumb is represented by “strength of character” towards moving forward or upward the ladder of success by learning from failures, and never backing out.
The index finger is represented by “F.O.C.U.S.” or finish one course until successful.
The middle finger is represented by “Branding,” which means, in every business or entrepreneurship this must ALWAYS be represented by a brand that could be implanted in the minds of people (clients or customers).
The ring finger is represented by “partnership or relationship” with other people, who could help you in the success of business.
The pinky or baby finger is represented by “little things that count.” Like the varieties of small ingredients in cooking, these little things are needed in the success of business.
The book notes that the current economic recession happening now in America and other parts of the world could be resolved by entrepreneurs going into business that will create jobs. Only entrepreneurs can create new industries and opportunities around the world.
