Trying

Amidst four-sided
Room fills:
Grieving papers rest crumpled
Around dusty, unpolished floor;
Butts of filtered cigarettes
Smelling burned on olden tray;
And a tired, sincere pen
Keeps bleeding on a poemed paper.
Not even the howling wind
Can stop him trying, trying again.
